Natalie Toro
Natalie Toro most recently received accolades for her role she originated on Broadway portraying Madame Defarge in A TALE OF TWO CITIES, a role for which she won Sarasota Magazine's Best Supporting Actress Award when the show played its pre-Broadway run at the Asolo Repertory Theatre. She was the first American to play the role of Eponine in LES MISERABLES on Broadway and continued her career as Grizabella in CATS and got nominated for her portrayal of Eva Peron in the 20th Anniversary Tour of EVITA where she was nominated for a Jeff Award. She originated the role of Sally in Alan Menken's A CHRISTMAS CAROL at The Paramount Theater and played Camila in the Tony Award winner for best musical, IN THE HEIGHTS.
She has originated numerous roles Off- Broadway including the recent world premiere of The Yellow Brick Road playing La Bruja and musicals written by Marcus Hummon (Frances of Guernica), Everything's Ducky by Henry Krieger, and The Fix produced by Cameron Macintosh.
Natalie has written two critically acclaimed one-woman shows which she starred in. She produced and her self- titled CD, Natalie Toro, to National and International acclaim, a tribute to Broadway with eclectic arrangements.
You might catch her on your television set on Law and Order and Law and Order SVU and she just wrapped on a film playing "Ma" on "It's My Party".
She performed with Orchestras across the country and was a soloist at Carnegie Hall as well as The National Concert Hall in Dublin, Ireland.
